A vote of thanks was k'iven to Mr. Charles Phillips (chairman of directors), Mr. Grinitner (treasurer), the managers—Mr. A. Wickham, and Mr. Jamo3 Lowe.
Liisharv. —The annual meeting of subscribers was held in the Public Hall on Thursday last, Rev. Kobert MeKiuney in the chair. The balance-sheet for the past year was submitted and approved of. It showed: Dr.—Arrears, £4 133; cash balance, £1 03 Oil ; subscriptions past year, £9 Is : total, £1"> Os Oil. Cr.—New books purchased, £4 10s Gil ; subscriptions due, £4 Is ; postage and stationery, 2s 0.1; cash on hand, £'G Gs Oil: total, £15* 0s Oil. There was an increase in the past year of members' subscriptions of 19*. A unanimous vote of thanks* was, on the motion of Mr. Pulhain, given to Mr. Campbell lor the satisfactory manner in which he discharged the duties of honorary librarian and secretary. It was agreed to adjourn the meeting until after a public meeting of subscribers and non-sub-scribers be held on Monday, February 18th, for the purpose of considering whether the library might be open at a more suitable hour for country settlers than at present.— [Own Correspondent.]
