Barometer unusually high throughout the week, beginning to fall towards its close > this height apparently connected with the noticeable dryness of the atmosphere, cum with the steady prevalence of E. and N.fcwind. Days mostly cool and not unpleasaat ; nights at beginning of the week warm ano close, cooler towards the end of the week; the daily range of the thermometer increasaing from 7 or S degrees to 15, aud rendering the temperature much more agreeable.
