Private telegrams- from Wellington announce the probable retirement on pension of his Sonor Judge Rogan, and of considerable reductiora as about taking place in both the Native Lands Court and Colonial Survey Departments. Several offices, it is also rumoured, will be amalgamated, so as to reduce the heavy costs of other branches of the public service. The Government is likely to tsko action shortly.
