ACCIDENT AT PARNELL.

Ax accident, which might have proved fatal to two people, and which resulted in some serious injuries to one of them, occurred at Parnell at about 7 o'clock on Friday evening. A nau named William Thompson, who soils fruit and vegetables, was, with his wife, returning homo in their spring cartfrom the direction of Newmarket. He, however, secured the horse, and then turned bin attention to the perrons who were spilled. Mrs. Thompson fortnnatel}' escaped without in jury, but Thompson was not so fortunate. He was partially stunned, and sustained two wound 3 on the side of hin head. With the assistance of some other men who came up at the time, he had Thompson ronuvnd to the footpath, and sent for l)r. CJoldshro', who came immediately. The man was taken to the doctor's residence, whin e his wounds were dressed. They are fortunately not daugeroua, and after some delay tho man was able to walk to his residence iti Rath-street
