MESSRS. HUNTER AND NOL-VN's WEEKLY BEPORT.
Horses.—Therehasbeenbutlittlealterationin the market. There has been quite an average supply and steady demand. On Friday, buyers were in attendance, and nearly all submitted by auction, were disposed of at prices, on the whole, satisfactory to vendors. There remains an unsatisfied demand for upstanding young horses suitable for heavy spring-carts and for coaching purposes. We quote hacks from £5 to £13 7s Gd; light harness horses, from £12 10s to £18; light draught colt, £18; medium draught, £23; heavy draught, £28 to £37.
Cattle.—There has been considerable animation in the market, and prices for fat stock have had an upward tendency. There was a fair muster at Newmarket on Tuesday. Dairy cows maintained last week's values. There was
a brisk demand for stores, particularly for wellbred young heifers, and there remains an unsatisfied demand. For fat beasts the bidding was spirited, and an average advance of 10s each was given on last week's prices. "Wo quote dairy cows, from £9 10s to £12; yearlings, from £21& 6d to £3 10s; weaned calves, 29s to 41s ; 2-year-old steers, £1 to £4 12s Gd; 2to 3-year-old heifers, £3 10s to £4 : 3 year-old steers, £5 7s Gd to £6 ss.
Sheep.—There was again a good muster of sheep, and fair demand, but prices have a downward tendency and last week's prices were barely maintained. "Wethers sold -at 2Jd per lb.
Figs.—There was a good muster, and bidding •was spirited; prices were sustained.
