Eaton sold a large consignment of bananas and Nelson apples at hismart today. Prices obtained were :—Apples, 3d to 3Jd per pound; bananas, 2d to 7 3d per pound. I At Mr. E. Arthur's sale of furniture, farm produce, fruit, &c, to-day, the attendance was large, and good prices were realised. Apples, 4Jd to 4fd per lb. ; pears,- 4Jd per lb. ; oranges, 7s per case ; potatoes, 4s 6d per cwt; ; pumpkins, 5s 3d per owt.; onions,' j,d per lb. . . ; EXPORT OF GOLD. • The s.s. Hero was the bearer to-day of the following parcel of gold, shipped by the Bank o£ New Zealand, for Melbourne :—Six boxes, containing 10,554 ozs. 1 dwt. ; value, £44,326 16s. Of this, 3147 ozs. 1 dwt. 11
