Vagrant Act.—Jßaba, an aged Hindoo, ■was brought up for a breach of the Vagrant Act, by being an incorrigible roj,ue, having no lawful visible means of support. SubInspector Pardy said the poor old man had been found last night in the streets. He had no home, and no means to support himself, and had repeatedly been sent to Gaol and the Old Men's Kefuge, but could not be induced to stop at the latter place. He would ask that the case be remanded until Monday, in order that the police might have an opportunity of acquainting Mr. Graham, the Relieving Officer, with the destitute condition of the prisoner.
