THE GENERAL ELECTIONS.
Mars den. — A meeting of electors of this part of the country was held at the township of Pahi, on the 16th instant, ■when Mr. 1?. EL Hull explained his views on the political situation at After many questions had been asked and answered to the entire satisfaction of those present, a vote of confidence was proposed and carried without a dissentient, and . a vote of thanks to the chairman, Mr. W. Symonds, terminated the proceedings. If the same unanimity of feeling is shewn as at Pahi throughout the county, Mr. Hall's opponents for the representation will soon see the futility of the contest with on? so experienced in political matters and such a general favourite as Air. Hull. The following is the resolution passed :—" That this meeting, having heard the statement of Mr. Hull's views on the political position of the ■country, are satisfied with the same, and tender him a vote of confidence and promise of support at the ensuing election."— [Correspondent. ] Fras'ki.ix.—A meeting was held in the school-house, Pukekohe East, on Thursday evening, at half-past C p.m. About 25 electors were present.
