THE GENERAL ELECTIONS.
The following are the datea fixed for meetings of candidates, also for the nomination of candidates to represent the respective districts named below :—
Framklin. —Messrs. May and Crawford •will address the electors this evening, in the Wairoa Public Hall. Mr. Troup will address the electors this evening in the llpwick Public Hall, and on Monday in the Papakura Hall. Mr. Lusk will address the electors this evening, at G. 30, in the Commercial Hall, Waiuku ; on Monday evening, at 6.30, in the Volunteer Hall, Mauku ; on Tuesday, in the School-house, Pukekohe East, at 3 p.m. ; Pukekohe West, at 6.30 p.m. ; on Wednesday, in the School-house, Bombay, at G. 30; on Thursday, in the Public Hall, Wairoa, at 6.30. He will also meet the electors at Pokeno, Tuakau, Papakura, no wick, and Otahuhu, but the hour and place are not fixed for these meetings. Mr. E. Hamlin will meet the electors of Franklin : Waiku, this evening; Mauku, Monday ; Pukekohe, Tuesday ; Bombay, Wednesday. The time at each place, 6.30 p.m. The actual places of meeting are not named. Parnell.—Mr. Reader Wood is announced tn meet the electors on Tuesday evening, in the Parnell Public Hall, at eight o'clock. Auckland City West.—The nomination for this district is fixed for Wednesday next (noon), in the building of the Young Men's Christian Association. Auckland C;ty East.—The nomination for this district is fixed for Thursday next (noon), in the Mechanics' Institute. City East.—On Monday Mr. J. M. Clark will address the electors at the Mechanics' Institute. Newton.—The nomination for this district is fixed for Friday next (noon), in the Newton Academy. Waikato East.—Nomination, January 5; poll, January 12. Waikato East (Waipa).—Nomination, December 29 ; polling, January 11.
