The s.s. Hero, Captain Logan, took her departure for Sydney and Melbourne shortly after noon yesterday. The K.St.S. Macgregor, from San Francisco, may be looked for either this evening or to-morrow morning. The s.s. returned from Tanranga and East Coast ports Yesterday morning, bhe leaves again this afternoon. The s.s. Star of the South left for Kussell yesterday. She will loid with coals anil leturn here about Monday next, to take in cittle for Levuka. The barque Bella Mary cleared outwards at the Customs for Hobart Town yesterday. She will leave this morning. The schooner Clyde arrived from Wangarel yesterday morning, with cattle, &c. She will leave again to-morrow. The s.s. Cyphrenes, and not the Vasco de Gama, TVil! come here from Kanaavu with the inward mails per Colii a. The date of her departure with the outward mails has been altered to the 18th, instead of the 20th as heretofore advertised. Captain J. Bennett, of the barquentine Prince Alfred, came down from Fdverhead yesterday morning. He reports that his vessel arrived at Kaipara on Monday Inst, after a passage of eight days and a-hilf. Heavy gaits were experienced during the trip. The Prince Alfred has been sold to Mes3rs. Goss and Co., timber merchants, of Chrlstchurch, and is now taking in a cargo of timber for that firm. The schooner Torea, a three-nviatPd schooner, and a kelch, were bar-bonnd at Kaipara whan Captain Bennett left.
