FETE AT ELLERSLIE GARDENS.
The fete at the above popular place of amusement, on the 9th instant, is likely to prove a great success. The entrances for the various races and athletic sports are numerous, and give promise of a good day's sport. There will be an infinite variety of amusements in order to minister to the gratification, and meet the want 3 of all classes of pleasure-seekers,—dancing platforms for "youth and beauty," swings for the children, —and the menagerie, fountain, and fishpond for the sightseers. It is announced in our advertising columns that the entries for the perambulator, bicycle, and hurdle' races close on Thursday, the 4th instant, to Mr. A. King, care of Mr. J.
