Co. s s.s. Southern Cross will leave for Napier to-day. The s.s. Ladybird left the Manukau for Southern ports at noou yesterday. The schooner Peerless will leave for Tonga ana Samoa to-day. . . , The schooner Kyno will leave for a cruise amongst the South Sea Islands to-day. The schooners Clyde and Sovereign of the Seas both left for Wangarei last night. The ketch Wild Duck left Onehunga for Kaipara All accounts and claims against the ship Carishreoke Castle must be sent in to Mr. Batger's office by four o'clock this day. The s.s. Phcebe is due in the Manukau from Southern ports on Thursday, and will leave Immediately after the arrival of the Cyphrenes from San Francisco, expected about Saturday next. The s.s. Mikado is appointed to leave here for San Francisco on the 29th inst. She will not carry the mail, the A.S.N. Co. sending her to San Francisco on their own account. The s.s. Phcebe is advised to leave the Manukau for Southern ports immediately after the arrival of the mail steamer. The Cyphrenes is expected here on the Bth instant. The ship City of Auckland entered at the Customs yesterday.* She hauled alongside the wharf in the morning, and will commence discharging cargo this morning. ,„,„., The Fiji Argus says:—" The Dauntless remains hard and fast and in comparative safety upon the reef. After withstanding the late boisterous weather, reasonable expectations are entertained of the loss incurred being eventually under the original estimate. The .necessary appliances for a final attempt to float the schooner were forwarded on the Ist instant, and we shall be glad to hear of a favourable result. The latest report from the scene of disaster received was that the vessel was apparently but little Injured, and lying in smooth water, protected from the heavy breakers."
