THE PAPAKURA MEETING.
To tho Editor of the Herald. Sir, —Kindly permit me to mention a duty I omitted to fulfil at the close of the above five hours' meeting. While M.. Lusk was speaking, the Rev. Mr. Norrie, of Papakura, and Mr. James Bell, of Wairoa, retired from the room, but before doing so requested me to state that, had they remained, they would have voted for immediate abolition. Allow nie further to add that I sign my nan-e in full when writing to tho papers. I am, &c, F. H. Troup.
