THE AUCKLAND REGATTA.
To the Editor of the Herald. Sik, —Allow mo to call attention to a misprint in the advertisement of the programme for the Auckland Regatta, 187 G. It is in one of the dimensions of the boats to be sculled in the thirteenth race : the beam is 4 feet 6 inches, not C feet 7 inches. Your notice of the programme gives the dimensions correctly ; but 1 consider an authoritative correction necessary. I wish, also, to add to your remarks on this race, that the consideration which had most weight with tho committee in establishing it was, that it would be the means of developing a good school of rowers at this port.—l am, &c., Thos.
