The expenditure in this statement is larger than that shewn by the Treasury, owing to the fact that the advances on imprest for payment of wages, &c, during the last month have not been received from the Imprestees and passed through the Treasury before the annual accounts of the colony were closed. t Note.—This amount of £2,005 7s 4d is the net yield over the whole period from Ist May, 1874: but the net yield for the yc*r, from Ist July, 1874, to 30th June, 1876, is £2,148 5s Id.
