PRINCE OF WALES THEATRE.
The great feature of the entertainment 1 ?t night was the production of a pantomir e, the Sisters t'uvali appearing as Harleiji in and Columbine. There was a full hou e. The performance was preceded by the • Id Irish comedietta, "His Last l-tgs," in which the rirowned part of O'Callaghan •.■/as assumed, and really well acted by Mr. G. \\. Collier. It is the tradition of pantomme that it shall he annexed to fairy extravaganza, and the good old rule was followed last night. The Sisters Duvalli were of co ;rse the lovers, to whom the fairies are by ti rns unfavourable and propitious. This extr vaganza also afforded the occasion for se\ ral really pretty dances of all nations. The "transformation scene," by Mr. Willi .ms, was so effective that the scenic artist appeared in front of the stage to bow liis acknowledgments of a very emphatic -'tnd unanimous call. As to the hirlequiii -.de itself, the merit of all such enteitainmen 3 is in the fact that the drollery shall lie f ifliciently fast and changeable not to allow the judgment to discover its own partialit\ for boisterous trifling. There was merit of this tind last night. The business went '-*ery pleasantly throughout. The dancing oi the Sisters Duvalli was ample to sustain it. The tricks were of the old kind and methoo. and there was the usual amount of pantomimic row. Miss IJosalie Duvalli is a most agile Harlequin, and Miss Heloise Duvalli a very graceful Columbine.
