GOLDEN CALF GOLD MINING COMPANY.
To the Editor of the Herald. Sir,—Will you have the kindness to insert Ihe following few lines for the benefit of the numerous Golden Calf eliareholdcrs in Auckland ? The Golden Calf mine looks better at the present time than it lias ever eince it was a. mine. The No. 2 Caledonian reef—where intersected the other day—is from five to about nine feet; well defined, and showing gold freely. Crashing will be commenced about Monday, the 20th instant, when I hope the sanguine shareholders who have Stuck to the shares so well, and paid the •ells more regularly than in any other mine oh the Thames for the last four years, will have the pleasure of receiving dividends, and be well paid for their outlay. As complaints have reached me from Auckland that the Auckland shareholders were not able to obtain reliable information, I will try to arrange it with the directors so that for the future a weekly report from the mine will be aent to the Auckland papers, which will be signed by the mine manager, and will be reliable in every respect. Thomas Ellison, Esq., is theonly director at present in Auckland, from whom any other information may to obtained.—l am, &c, G. H. Hxcnr Director of the Golden Calf. Paeroa, Jnlj 20, 1875.
