Of all the extraordinary resolutions passed by any deliberative body, we (Dunedin Kr.iuii,, Star) do not recollect one that will come up to the nsoli-tion which the Makariwa Koad Hoard, at the instance of a wondrously wise member named Trumble, pas.s-jd last week, anil which reads as follows: — "That th<- sou or son-iu-liiw of any member of this liuard, or son or son-in-law of any otiicer employed by this Hoard, such parlies aforesaid, their tenders not to be accepted for any work required to lie (lone by tho Makarewa Road I'oard ; the aforesaid resolution not to be rescinded without one month's notice, and a full meeting of tho Hoard."
