THE £1000 VOTE AND THE RAMAKAMA CONSTITUENCY.
To the Editor of the Hkeald. »• Sn:, —I perfectly agree with you that the above constituency, at ail events the respectable portion of thorn, would not cbject to their mumber's vote on the £1000 vote for the widow of our late Superintendent. Zs'ono but narrow-minded politicians could object to such a vote because they were not of the same party. Have we uot Whig and Tory patriots in England ? The man who can hint that Mr. Williamson was ever actuated by 3elfish or mercenary inotive3 sinks himself below the ordinary level of human nature, and mast be devoid both of common sense and discrimination.—l am, &c, Old Practical. Mauku, June 3, 1575.
