Insurance. S ZEALAND GOVERNMENT LIFE INSURANCE AND ANNUITIES. Tha above Department affords the following advantages, which are secured by special Acts of Legislature, over any other office in the colony:— 1. All policy holders participate in the profits of the Department. ) 2. The Premiums are lower by at least 7s (seven shillings) per cent, than those of any other office. 3. The Security is infinitely superior to that of any private office, the consolidated revenue of the colony being available for any deficiency. 4. The whole of tho money paid in Premiums is retained Sn the colony, whereas in private offices so much capital is seat to foreign parts. 6. Policies for wifo or family are absolutely protected from creditors. 6. Nopo'icyis forfeited by non-payment of Premiums after first year, so long as surrender value will insure the amount. For example, a person aged forty, insured under a Policy on which five annual payments had been made, would not forfeit it on account of non payment of premiums until the expiration of five years and eighty-six days from date of default, provided that the other conditions of tho Policy had not been violated, and it could be renewed at any time within such term, on paying up arrears with interest: or i it become a claim within that time, the Policy would be paid, less arrears with interest. No policy need therefore be sacrificed in consequence of the pressure of any temporary loss of employment or other monetary embarrassment.
