ACCIDENT AT WEST PUKEKOHE.
O.n Monday last, whilst a thrashing machine was in operation on Mr. Scott's farm, a .son of Mr. Clinic, of Waiuku, met with a severe accident. His right foot was drawn through one of the cog-wheels. He had the presence of mind, however, to call to the horses, and this stopped further injury. I Jr. , Corbett, of Ttiakau, was sent for iimnediatcly, and the wounds. Two of the hones were ascertained to have hern fractured, and the soft part in thc.S'jJe of tin? foot severely lacerated. The sutl'ercr bore 1 the injury well.
