The Manuka a has made a further deposit of 560 ounces of gold, making a total of 1895 ounces""'of retorted gold, which was melted by the Bailk of New Zealand in their new melting-house in one hour and ten minutes, the furnaces acting splendidly. ' It only lost one per cent., and now weighs IS7I ounces"irdwts. The total yield for the two months, with seventeen, stampers rannine, or sincc last dividend, is 2851 ounces. A dividend of 17s 6d or 20s will be declared. The mine looks first-rate. The Caledonian cut a new leader, nine inches wide, in the last cross-cut, bottom level, close to the Cure boundary. - In the Crown Prince I saw a section of the hew leader broken down this afternoon.
