AUCKLAND CATTLE MARKET.

Mr. Alfred Buckland's Wekkly Report. At the Havmarket on Friday bst fodder was in usual un y „„d at hinhor values Hay, 8s fid to 10s; straw, 3s to 4s the cwt. Horse stock were in less numbers than usual, but in steady enquiry at advanced values, and all good animals sold; prices obtained were, ridin™ horses, £7 to £14; light harness, £15 to £_i. At Reiuuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle were plentiful, but the greater number were in verj- low condition. For well-bred animals in medium condition good prices were given, but aged and iiinniiaiumals rcinain at low prices. Store cattle were fairly , Te P, r . t j 3 and in steady enquiry. at late values, iat cattle were in average supply : 134 head penned, many being of verv clioicc quality : prices were irregular, but, on the whole, higher tliau last week. No store sheep iat sheen in average number; 025 penned; prices, similar to last week A few laiubs—the first for this season brought 13s to 21s each. Pigs short of requirements and at extreme values. There were rather more than usual varded at Papakura, on Wednesday, and the bidding was spirited. We sold dairy cows from £t> to £0 ; dry cows, from £4 to £5 7s Cd; from A"' to£2 15s; three-vear-old steers, £5 to £0 7s Cd; well-bred two-year-old steers, from £4 15s to £5 2s Cd; bt-ef 40s to 42s (id per 100 lbs.
