WADE HIGHWAY BOARD.

Agbeeable to public notice, a general meeting of the ratepayers of the Wade district was held at the Wade Hotel, on the 9th instant. After Mr. Lusk's address, Mr. Henry Lloyd was Toted to the chair, and briefly explained: that to. enable the trustees to carry out the requirements of the district they wished to have tha full consent of all relative to the rate to bo levied. On the motion of Mr. Kelly, seconded by Mr. Lord, it was unanimously resolved that the assessments for the current year should be tire same as laßt year, and the assessment rate was authorised to be made out accordingly.— [Own Correspondent.J
