The s.s. Ladybird left Dunedin yesterday, for the North. The p.s. Comerang arrived at Napier yesterday from Auckland. The ship Edinburgh Castle will leave for Newcastle in a few days. The barque Prince Alfred will leave for the Kaipara to-day. The barque Alice Cameron, hence, arrivid at Newcastle on the 20th instant. The schooner Adelhsid, from Lyttelton, entered inwards at the Customs yesterday. The schooner Edith left for Tahiti, on the 9th inst. The Bchooner Columbia left Nr.pier for this port yesterday, with 500 sheep. The schooner Amaranth left Lyttelton yesterday for Taranaki, with a cargo of coal. The schooner Energy, hence, arrived at Sydney on the 19th instant. The s.s. Hero, from Sydney and Melbourne, may be looled for to-day, as she probably 'eft Sydney abouL the 22ud inst. The s.s. Rowena left for Northern ports yesterday evening, with a full general cargo, and a number of passengers. The s.s. Southern Cross left last evening for Tauranga, with a general cargo, and several passengers. The ship Countess of Kintore, Captain Bradick, took her departure from Deal on the 3rd of March for this port. The ship Black Watch arrived, at Duuediu yeßterday, from Batavia, with 170 Chinese immigrants. By our latest cable telegrams we learn that the ship Queen Bee has arrived safely in London. The barque Velocidade left Newcastle for this port with a cargo of coals on the 13th instant. The brig Scotsman, from Newcastle, arrived at Lyttelton yesterday. She reports the total IOiB of the brig Australia at Oape Campbell. The departure of the schooner Clyde for Wangarei and Mangapai has been postponed until to-day. The schooner Strathnaver has arrived at Dunedin, after a very rough passage from this port. The schooner Emulous arrived from Dunedin yeßterday, -with a cargo of breadstuil's after a protracted passage of 20 days. The cutter Dido reported at the Customs yesterday, from Turauganui, with 150 sheep. The barque Hylton Castle, 547 tons, Captain Scott, chartered by the Auckland Freight Company, left Gravesend for this port on the 28th of February. The schooner Ltetitia cleared at the Customs yesterday for Napier via Mercury Bay, ■with 30,000 feet of sawn timber and 50,000 shingles. The schooner Cambria arrived from Wangarei yesterday, with a cargo of settlers' produce, and several passengers. She will leave again to-day. Consignees of the barque Adelheid and the schooner Emulous, from Lyttelton, wre requested to present bills of lading and pay freight to the agent, Mr. G. W. JBinney. The following vessels arrived at Port Chulmerß yesterday : —Lyttelton, from Newcastle ; B.S. ladybird, from the North ; Frowning Beauty, from Newcastle; and the Michael Angelo, from London. llie Fawn left Lyttelton for this port yesterday wiih the foUowing cargo :-510 sacks wheat, 1869 ditto potatoes, 25 ditto bran G9 ditto malt, 486 ditto flour, 90 half-sacks grass «eed, 33 sacks peae, 30 ditto oate, 50 bags flour, 183 eacks wheat. The s s. Rangatira took her departure for Tauranga, Napier, Porerty Bay, Wellington aud Southern portß last evening, with the following passengers Mr. R. Farmer, Capi,. J. Trimmer, Messrs. J. Thomson, P. W lJennell, Matthew, T. Douglas, W. Douglas L. Bacon, F. Smith, James Coughlin, ColoDel Harington, Mr. and Mrs. Ru4mau and family Mr. Paton, Mr. Anderson, Colonel and Miss Russell. The schooner Prima Donna, Captain Norris, arrived in harbour from Tahiti and Rorotonga Jast evening. We have to thank Captain Norris for the following report. The Prima Donca left Auckland on the morning of the 26th February last, bound for Tahiti. Put into Tryphena Bay on tbo following day for sh .iter against a S.E. gale. Proceeded on our

voyage again on March 2nd, and for threo clnr3 a eneouiif.ered n fearful sea, and there being no wind, had to lower all fore and aft canvas, and roll it out. This was evidently the centre of a cyclone or sea from some hurrieme. Arrived at Papeete on April 3rd, and commenced discharging car«o into punts tho next day. On the 7th, mado fast to the dock, finding deep water close to. Were kept waiting bv the consignee for tho arrival of his schooner, with freight for Auckland. Left on April 22nd for Rorotonga. Light fair winds for the first two days, after which had eight days of calms and very light airs. Anchored at Rorotonga after a passage of fifteen days. Remained there for two days, and took in cargo and proceedel on the voyage. The wind was favorable up to tbo 14iii instant, when a terrific storm was encountered from N. to S.W. and W., which lasted for twenty-four hours. Strong breezes and heavy sea were encountered until Sunday last, since which fine WPiithi-r and S.fi. winds have prevailed. Sighted Cape Brett on Sundiy and anchored in Auckland harbour a'-G.20 o clock last eveitiiig. U.M.S. Chameleon, two French men-of-wur, and a number of small vessels were lying at Papeete when Ihe Prima Donna left. On Sunday last passed two whale ships standing into the Bay of Islands.
