Tenders. ZEALAND TELEGRAPH. Tenders are invited for the Supply and Delivery of Nine hundred (000) Telegraph l'osts (more or less), for renewing the line of Telegraph between Pukerimu (near Camnridf;e)ard Alexandra, and passing through Oliaupo and Te Awamutu. The Posts to be sawn from the heart of kauri, to be perfectly sound, straight, and free from sap, loose knots, shakes, speckles, and all ntlier defects. N B — Anv Post containing the lea;t sap will lie rejected, and all posts laid 011 the line and afterwards found in any manner defective, or not in accordance with the specification, will be cut into two pieces by the Examining Oilicer. The Posts to be delivered along the line at points to be indicated by an Oilicer appointed by the Government. , , J The major portion of the Posts to be twenty (-9) feet in length ; but some will be required twenty-live (2f>) feet long, to be laid at points as indicated. Posts of both the above lengths to be eight (S, inches square at the butt, aud tapered to six (C) inches square at the top. „ ~ . The whole of the Posts to be delivered within three (3) calendar months of the date of acceptance of tender, under a penalty of live pounds (£5) to be paid for every working day "the contract is not completed after that date.
