The long and anxiously looked for proclamation has at last been made, under the hand and seul (iu broad Government pica) of His Honor (on official foolscap) Thomas Baunatyne G-iliies, Esq., of the Province of Auckland, and holding tlie delegated powers of his Excellency tho Governor. The field is now open. Miners can peg out claims and set in to work. We wish them all success and prosperity. If the field is payably auriferous the Thames miners , will soon make the discovery. If it be not so there will be rfiUcU"disappointment, but nobody's fault. The following is a copy verbatim ct literatim : — PfIOCLAMATIOX. In exercise of the powers delegated to me by His Excellency the Governor, under •■ The Gold Milling Districts Act. 1671" J, Thomas JJ:iiinatyHt Gillies, Superintendent of the Province uf Auckland, do hereby enlarge the boundaries of the Haumki Gold Mining District, under the s.-iid recited Act, so ;is to include the lands described iu the Schedule hereto. SCHEDULE.
