Clark and Sons.—Owen and Graham, agents. ff.M.S.S. Dido, Captain Chapman, arrived from Duuedin yesterday afternoon, The Dido is to take tlie place of H M.S. Rosario on the Australian station. The ship, in appearance, greatly resembles the Blanche, but her tonnage and armament are not so great. She was put in commission in April, 187°, and left England in the following month, and was for some time cruising on the west coast of Africa. The Dido carries eiglitf guns, six of Tvhieh are 6i4-pounder shunt guns, two seveninch 64-ton Woolwich guns. The following ftre the uauies of the officers : - Eirst lieutenant. A. Southern Cross arrived at Tauranga yesterday afternoon. ° The ship Polar Star reported at the Cus- ! fcoms yesterday, and will commence to dis- < charge her cargo to-duy. i All accounts against the siiip Queen Bee roust be sent in to the agents, Messrs. L. D. JSathan and Co., by noon on Thursday, or they will not be recognised. The ship Robert Henderson was to leave : Napier last for London, with a cargo valued at £57,250. The ship Agnes Muir has nearly discharged ' her cargo from London in capital condition. On discharge of her cargo she will proceed South. Passengers by the ship Queen Bee, for London, are requested to pay the balance of . their passage money before noon on Friday next. J The barque Ayr has discharged her cargo Of sugar from Mauritius in fine condition. ! She will probably haul into the stream to- i day. t Th» schooner Tawera arrived in harbour '' yesterday morning, from Poverty Bay. Very v heavy weather was experienced on the passage up. The bags of flour und biscuit which the Rangatira saw on the Orete beach were thrown overboard by the Tawera.
