Large fire in George-street this morning. It destroyed the lithographic premises of Mr. George; those of Mr. Kobson, tailor; Gilchrist, p3i"uter ; Algie, fancy warehouse ; and part of Coventry's, tinsmith.; other damage wa; done. The cause of the fire unknown. Damage estimated at £2000. Mr. George is insured in the Hoyal for £250; Gilchrist, Bo.val £200, and Victoria £250; Coventry, in New Zealand, £200 ; Algie, in Roval, £125. CHRISTCHURCH.
