CANNIBAL EXHIBITION.
To the Editor of the Herald. SIH, —In your issue of to-uay appears a letter from Mr. Kinross, accusing me ol making unt.rul.hful statements in regard to Fiji. This I defy him to prove, as I confined myself to simple facts, lie seems very much annoyed Unit I should have the courage to savin public what everyone would say in private, who has had the misfortune to become acquainted with Sir. March in his ollieial capacity. If i1.8.M. Consul for Fiji has proved a friend to Mr. Kinross, then he ought to he very thankful, for I believe he is about l.he only resident on the islands who can make the same boast.
If he had sudfered as great an injustice at the hands of Air. March as I have, I believe he would have spoken much stronger than I have jet done ; and, unfortunately, my case is not an exception. Mr. Kinross will hear more of his friend yet, perhaps in a Court of Law report. As 1 have 110 wish to enter into u newspaper controversy-, I would advise him to let. the subject drop, as nothing that will be said 01* written will prevent me from speaking the truth. I am of opinion, if Mr. March ever comes to hear of Mr. Kinross's championship, he will bo led to exclaim, " Save me from my friends." —X am, &c.. One ok the PiJOrittETORS of the Fiji Exhibition. March, 2G, 1872. [Wo can insert. 110 further correspondence 011 this subject.— Ed. N.Z.11.]
