THE MAIL STEAMER.
By the arrival of the Wellington from the South yesterday, we learn that the mail steamer Nevada had not left Port Ch aimers on Monday last, and that she is not to be expected in Auckland before Saturday next. We understand that the delay has been caused by some necessary examination of her boilers. Considerable discontent seems to exist in the Southern Provinces in consequence of the irregularity of the service.
