City of Adelaide, from Melbourne and Sydney, may be looked for this morning. The schooner Ivanhoe, McGregor, master, left for Mongonui yesterday afternoon, with the following passengers :—Sirs. .Neale, Master and Miss Butler, Master Gorrie, and Master McGregor. The ~ W.S.3f. Company's s.s. St. Kikla, Captain Flowerday, arrived at the Onehunga wiinrf at onn o'clock yesterday. She left Wanganui at. 4 o'clock "or the 19th instant; crossed the Manukiiu bar at 11 p.m. on tho 20th, and arrived :is above. Sho experienced fine weather throughout. Sho brings the following passengers:—Jlessi'3. McLean, Wilson, and Douglas. Captain Stewart, late master of the schooner which was wrecked on Thursday last, at K:\ipar.i, returned to town by the Gemini on Wednesday evening. He reports the Midge as having broken up when he left the Kaipara We have not yet heard if there is to be an inquiry into the origin of this •wreck, but there certainly to be. The little paddle-steamer Effort is being . pidly fitted up, and will be ready in a sho.t time to commence her work. She is alongside the Customhouse-street wharf, and has been fitted with her engine, boilei, &c, while the carpenters are busily engaged making her fit for her future duties.
The p.s. Golden Croxn will make an excursion trip to the Kawau on Boxing Day, calling at the Hot Spring, going and returning. She will leave the wharf at 10 o'clock".
The p.s. Duke of Edinburgh will make an •excursion trip to Wangarei on Boxing Day. She will call ai the Hot Springs and the Eawau on her return.
All claims or accounts against the shin Chile must be sent in to the agents, Messrs? Owen and Graham, by noon of the 28th instant, or they will not be recognised. The p.s. Koyal AlfreJ and Duke of Edinburgh will mike hourly trip 9 to Lake Takapuna, from the Queen-street wharf, on Boring Day.
