AMUSEMENTS.

Theatre Royal—There was a pretty good attendance at this theatre last evening, when the programme of the evening before, comprising "Don Ctczar do Bazan," and the burleaque of " Ixion" were repeated. This burlesque has had an extraordinary run, but it has at length been withdrawn to make way for fresh novelties. This evening the programme will consist of "Josephine, the Child of the Eegiment," and " My Precious Be pKiNCB OB Wales Thkatbe.—There was a very good attendance at this theatre last evening, when Boucicault'e senaional drama of " Elfie, or the Cherry-tree Inn" was repeated, and ob upon former representations, with great success. The piece improves upon acquaintance, and we can conscientiously advise our theatrical friends not to miss the opportunity of seeing it. It will be repeated again this evening.

The goat iz a coarse woollen sheep, with a cracked voice and a sanguine digestion. They had rather steal a rotten turnip out ov a garbage barrel than cum honestly bl a peck ov oats. They strike from the head instead ov tho shoulder, and are az likely tew hit the mark as a bumblebee iz. Ihey are faithful kritters in the hour ov adversity, and will stick tew a man az long az he lives in a shanty. They kan klimb everything but a greased pole, and are alwus poor in the boddy, but phatt in the stummack. What they eat seems tew all go tew appetight. A phatt goat would be a lit«r*ry curiosity.
