March 15. Since my report of the Cth inst., the ships Black Prince and'Lagu have sailed. In addition to cargo reported, the former has 200 cases of oysters and 65 eases of lard oil. She had only 12,500 cases of kerosene. The Lagu has, additional, 500 cases kerosene, 235 cases oysters, 400 do. lobsters, 100 do. salmon, 100 packages dried apples, 20 barrels resin, and 700 boxes clothes-pins. Seven other vessels are getting on slowly. The Lelia M'. Long will linisb. by the end of the month. She has 5000 cases kerosene for both ports. The East Lothian, for Auckland, is nearly loaded. Markets quiot and unchanged, except for resin, which advanced to 2 dollars 85 cen:s for common, and 5 dollors 50 cents to 6 dollars for sale; kerosene steady at 33 conts for 1 Devoe's brilliant ; apples advanced to 8 dollars 10 cents. There have been sales of 175 cases kauri gum, private ; 14,500 lbs. do., 12i- cents. Small sales of New Zealand ilax, via London, at 9 cents to cents, currency. Gold has been firmer, selling at 1J g, closing at llj. Exchange strong; Bankers', 109J; GO-day, HOf; sight, commercial, 109 ito 109 J-.
