Tke s.s. City of Melbourne, H. G-rainser, Esq., Commander, from Honolulu, tlie 23th nit., with the European anil American mails, arrived in harbour on Saturday. Her dates are: London, March 17; San Francisco, March 18. Tim City of Melbourne sailed j from this port at 2 p.m. on the 7th ultimo, j with the Australian and .Xcv Zealand mails, j and ninety passeng»r3, en route for JJonoiuiu. i The first part of the passage she csp.ri-need light Tariable -winds and tine weather; the latter part, strong N.K and E.X.E. winds, accompanied wi'h heavy >I\E. swell, until her arrival at Honolulu at 3 p.m. on the 2-till ultimo. The non-arrival at that port of the connecting steamer Aj ix, from San Francisco, until the night of the 27th, dclay-d the City of Melbourne until 0 p.m. ofthp2Sth, when she sail d for Auckland. The return passage has been a continuance of very fine weather. Passed the Poor Knights ii' 8 a.,u. on the loth instant; Tiritiri at 2.30 p.m., and arrived at the wharf at -1 p.m. the same date.
