SALE OF WOOL, FLAX, AND HIDES.
The sale of hides, flax, and wool, held yesterday at the Hay market, was thinly attended, but good prices ruled throughout. Salted hides brought 3;,' d the lb ; sheepskins, 3 : ; dto wool, in givnse, 5d to 7','d ; washed, SJ to 10id ; scoured lljd the lb. The flax oilVred at auetion was of medium quality only. It. brought from £11 iOs to £15 10s the ton, with the exception of one lot inferior, which sol.l for £6 10s. Tow, £3 10s to £■!-. Flax of a better quality is selling freely at prices varying front .CMj'lPs to £20 per toil.
