Participating Policy-holders can elect to take advantage of this scheme, which it is believed is entirely original. With most ofiiees the Bonus is attached to the original Policy, and stands or falls with it, but the Queen Bonus Policy is free from any condition whatever, and is payable absolutely at 'he death of the assured, without any reference to the original Policy, so that the holder possesses an absolute reversion of a defined market value, capable of being at any time converted into cash. If a person, after having been Assured for three years under the ordinary whole life scale, at any age up to and inclusive of fifty-five, should wish to discontinue paying his Premiums, the "Directors will issue a Policy for the amount of the Premiums paid, together with any Bonus that may have been added, and free from any further payment whatever. This feature secures not only a provision in the event of premature death, but a remedy—long desired—should the payment of the Premium become an inconvenience. All ordinary Queen Policies without exception, on which the age of the Assured has been admitted, are at the end of five years from their date absolutely indisputable the only condition being the punctual payment of the Premiums, with any extra Premium th.it may be eligible for Foreign residence in cases where whole world license may not have been obtained. Bonns at last valuation, :tlst December, ISGS, aver aged over 40 percent, of the premiums paid by the Assured, and in some cases rose to per cent. The Queen allows Bonuses to be applied according to any one of the following three modes : — 1. By increasing the amount Assured. 2. By n payment in Cash. 3. By reducing the future Premiums.
