Masters, Atkinson,- Knight, Sfcruckmuir, Martin, Robinson, Toleson, and ten men Armed Constabulary. • The Colonial Government p.s. Sfcurfc has been detained in harbour waiting the arrival of the s.s. Phoebe from Southern Ports. The s.s. Tauranea is expected back from the Bay of lalandsto«day. The cutter Willie Winkie arrived in the Manukau yesterday, from Raglan, with 3 21 bales flax, 4 bales tow, Bennett; "19 pigs, 2 tons firewood, 2 cases turkeys, order. Gio- Race.—At five o'clock yesterday afternoon a four-oared gig race took place between . . the Spitfire and Manukau Maid,'two boats belonging to the Auckland Rowing Club. The Spitfire was manned by the following gentlemen :—Messrs. A. E. Isaacs, H. Henderson, W. Brassey, v G. Johnstone (stroke), and R. Isaacs' (cox.) The Manukau Maid was rowed by the following gentlemen from Parnell Messrs. A. Nation, W. Churton, Dyer, Buisson, and Major Heaphy (cox.) The course was . from the Queen-street Wharf round the GoTernment schooner Edith, returning to the wharf. - The Parnell crew had a considerable lead in starting, but'was soon overhauled by r the Auckland crew, and passed before ..-rouiiaing.the 'schooner.
