MEETINGS OF SHAREHOLDERS.
A MKKTING of shareholders in the Golden Hill Company was held at the office of Mr. C. J. Stone yesterday. The only business transuded was the election of new directors, wlien the following gentlemen were appointed : —Messrs. T. Russell, MeKelrie, I). N'athan, Cook, and Bartlett. I Puovidknck Claim, Moanatauu. —A meeting of ' the shareholders was held at the Royal Exchange, Graliamstown. yesterday, at which it was decided to J form the claim into a Limited Liability Company, I with a capital of .£20,000, in -i,OOO shares of £5 each, i£4 paid up. Mr. Lowther Broad was appointed legal manager. The claim is peg and peg with the ■Shooting Star and other valuable claims. A meeting of tho shareholders in the Thrieve Castle wan held yesterday in Messrs. Broad, Haughi ton. and Keddell's offices, when the rules were ! adopted and directors appointed. A meeting of directors in the Cape of Good Hope Gold Mining Company (to be registered), was held at the Belfast Hotel, Auckland, on Monday, when it was resolved that the legal manager (Mr. John W. Pearse) communicate with the Tradesmen's Gold Mining Company and Hatter's, with the view of amalgamating. MntiMiY's Hill Gold Mining Compact.—A meeting of shareholders in the above company wa* held at the olliee of Mr. AV. B. Heath, Grahainstown, when rules were passed for the management of the Company. Messrs. Powell, Greenville, Cameron, Waller, "and Sarjeant were appointed directors for the year, and the legal manager was empowered to make a call of 4d. per scrip. The directors of the Duke of York Gold Mining Company held a meeting yesterday at the office of A. McKechnie, when it was decided to make a call of 3d. per scrip on the capital of the company, and to commence operations on the ground forthwith. Mr. John Caldecutt, an experienced miner, was appointed mining manager.
