The directors of the Duke of York Gold Mining Company held a meeting yesterday at the office of A. McKechnie, when it was decided to make a call of 3d. per scrip on the capital of the company, and to commence operations on the ground forthwith. Mr. John Caldecutt, an experienced miner, was appointed mining manager.
