CITIZENS' BALL.
To the Editor of the Hebaed. £j rj Would you oblige your readers by informing them of the why and wherefore of your reporter's having omitted all mention, in hie account of the ball, of the Duke'e having prosided at tho supper on that occasion. There must be a mistake somewhere, as the fellowing extracts from the Soutliern Cross and your journal will show :— The Cross saya " Ui3 Soyal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh presided." Your .puma . says '• hia Honor the Superintendent presided at suppev." Please explain ;the mistake on the part of tho Herald.— Tours sc, Bathos. Fort Britomart, 15th May, 1569.
