REGATTA MEETING.
The members of the regatta committee met at the Star Hotel, last evening. Von der Heyde (chairman), Fitzgibbon, Waymouth, H. Brett, T. Niccol, Fletcher, Guilding, and Captain Casey. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. A protest entered by Mr. Fletcher, owner of the Amateur, was not entertained by the committee. The Secretary then read the treasurer's account which showed a balance in hand, after paying all prizes and expenses, of £100. It was resolved that the funds remaining in hand from this year's regatta should be lodged in the Bank of New Zealand to the credit of Messrs. Von der Heyde and Captain Casey, to be handed over to the Treasurer of of the Ecgatta for the ensuing year. It was.proposed by Mr. Guilding, seconded bv Mr. Fletcher, " That this Committee be adjourned until the 27th May, in order that the rules and races for the regatta of 1869 may be determined on." ,A vote of thanks to the Chairman, Secretary, and auditors was then passed, and the meeting separated.
