RETURN OF THE GOVERNOR.

This Colonial Government p.s. Sturt, Captain Fairchild, returned to the Wynyard Pier at six o'clock last evening, from a shooting excursion, with his Excellency the Governor, Colonel Elliott, Mr. Whitaker, Mr. J. O. Hamley, and several other gentlemen. The Sturt left the harbour again at half-past seven o clock for the Kawau, with despatches for Sir George Grey, and is expected back to-day.
