THE BUILDING ACT.
To tho Editor of tho Heeaijj. Sin, —Since the last fire at the junction, foot of Grey-street, ono important question has arisen, namely, whethar or not" wooden buildings " can be erected on that site. Notice has been issued from the City Board prohibiting the putting up of wooden buildings within the limits of the new Act. Now vra are told there is a flaw in the Act If persons are permitted to rebuild with wood on that site, surely those living in less important streets, may enjoy the same privilege. W ill tho City Board or some other authority kindly put us right on this point.— Tours, &c., Epbty Handsaw. May 9, 1868. _
