PRIZE FIRING.
The firing of No. 1 Company A.B.V. for the Cross Rifles, presented by Captain ffowel, and the money prizes, came off yesterday at the Butts. The day was fine, but there was a S.W. breeze blowing across the course. The men were under the command of Ensign Skinner, Corporal Watts acting as marker. For the information of those interested we may state that the money prizes were defrayed out of the amount won from No. 3 Company in the recent content. The prizes were as follows •—lst prise £1 10s, 2nd prize £1 10s, 3rd prize £1 los, 4th prize £1 15s. Our readers will observe from the subjoined score that the first four on the list were the winners of the prizes respectively. There was a tie between Corporal Lee and Private Fagg, but in accordance with the regulations the matter was decided according to the majority of points.
