Per Onehunga, from Dunedin : 875 bags flour, 400 do., 150 bags wheat, 70 bags oats, order. The a.s. Midge, having received a thorough overhaul will eteam for the Thames this morning, carrying passengers and cargo.
"The Tauranga made another trip to the Thames yesterday, and returned to the wharf at half-past 9 ©'clock. She took down 60 paesengers, and brought up 45. The Tauranga leaves again at 9 o'clock this morning. . ,-~-- Thb Sea Bkeezb — The schooner Sea Breeze, Cap tain Norris, arrived in harbour from the Bay of Islands yesterday morning-, -with 104. sheep, 2 tone gum, 2 caeks pork, 15 hides, 2 cases fruit, and 13 paseengers. Tin schooners Tauranga and Herald hence, had arrived at the Bay. The wlialing ehip, James Arnold, 22 months out arrived at the Bay of lelnnds on Sunday last, for suppliee, having taken 1,800 barrels sperm. The brig Hebe, Captain Charlesworth, arrived at Hokianga on the 18th February, from Wellington, is loading timber. The barque Beconnisance, Captain H. T. Matchin, ai-rived at Hotianga on the 20th inetant, from Nelson, in ballast, and is loading timber and gum. The B.S. Beautiful Star, captain Chrisp, steamed safely over the bar yesterday at 9 a.m. By the Purser we have Otago and Wanganui files. She left Wanganui bound for Westport, at 4 p.m. on Sunday, the 16th ult., with, fine weather ; at 6 p.m. breeze freshened ; at 8 p.m. increased to a heavy gale with heavy sea; double-reefed fore-and-aft canvass, lee rail constantly under water; at 10 p.m. wind and sea increasing in violence; shipping largo quantities of water fore-and-aft; at'll p.m. for safety battened main hatches down, and threw about 100 sheep overboard. At midnight no improvement, took in all sail and flteamed head to sea. Opened hatches to save stock; at 10 a.m. a heavy sea struck the ship ' washing away the binnacle and stopping the engines. On examination found the air pump gone; at 8 a.m. shook out. reefs and made for Nelson, steaming slowly. Arrived off Boulder Bank at 6 p.m. Monday ; got a new &ie pump bucket cast, and all damage repaired; left Nelson on Thursday at7a.m., put into Tuturanui, lay there until 7 p.m. on Saturday, when she steamed for "Westport: she passed the "Wallaby off Cape Farewell, and anchored in the Buller at 9 a.m. yesterday morning.— Wesport Times, Feb. 23. ■WEBKXT SUMMARY. "We have no im tant arrivals from foreign ports to record this week. From the Southern Provinces we have to report three vessels with full cargoes of wheat and flour. On Saturday last the schooner Mariner arrived in harbour, after a long and tedious passage from Dunedin, bringing a cargo of breadstuffs, A similar cargo came in the schooner Lady Don, which arrived from Lyttelton on the 4th inst., and on the evening of the sth the schooner Onehunga, with wheat and flour, also arrived in poit, 14 days from Dunedin. . The s.b. Lord Ashley arrived from the South on the 4th instant, with a small general cargo and a few passengers, amongst -whom was the Hon. E. "W. Stafford. The A ehley leaves again on the 14th instant for the South. The s.e. Taranaki may he expected here on the 12th instant, and will leave again on the 15th, carrying the supplementary mail via Suez. The departures during the week have been as follows: —On Saturday last, the barque Domingo, for Tahiti and San Francisco ; on the 2nd instant, the B.s. Claud Hamilton, for Sydney with general cargo and passengers; on the 3rd instant, the Alice Cameron, for San Franciaco, with coals, and paesengersj and the schooner Pacific, for Norfolk Island, in ballast; and on the 4th instant, the schooner Onward, for lyttleton, with a cargo of timber. A fine yacht which has been named the Geraldine, about 25 feet on the keel, was launched from the yards of Messrs. Niccol and don, North Shore, on Saturday last.
