ONEHUNGA.
RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT. Wednesday. (Before J. J. Symonds, Esq., R.M.) Assatjlt. —William iStuart was charged by Patrick Wynno with assaulting him at Onehunga, on tho 17th instant, by striking bim on the face with his cl.-ncbod fist. The Court was of opinion that more violonce was used than was necessary to romove plaintiff fiom defendant's premises. Tho Court -would inflict a fine of 40s. and cosle, or one month's imprisonment. liAKOB.-fT.—Johanna Mahoney -nag charged with stealinga bout 301bs. of onion*, the proporty of Petor TTealy, at Onehunga, on tho 31st January last. Defendant pleaded guilty to taking the onions, but srtid she thought she hud n right to do so, as complainant had roceived them from her husband when he was under the influence of drink. Tho Court cautioned tho defondant against such a practice, and if a similar caso occurred, the Oouit would havo to commit the dofondimt to prison.
