Mr. Ball to move, That the report of the Private Grievance Committee on the petition of Mr. Thomas Macfarlane, included in their interim report No. 3, session XV, 1863, be referred to the Petitions Committee, in order that tho neceeaary steps may be taken for bringing the ciso under the operation of clauao 30 of the Auckland Waste Land Act, 1867. Tho report is as follows: "Your Committee are of opinion that the case of Mr. T. Macfiirlune, who prasonted his land order boyoud tho term specified by law, should bo recommonded as ono to bo brought within the provisions of an Act proposed to be introduced to the General Assembly by u previous resolution of this'Committeo, roforring to David Fort's cases."
