The favourite little steamer Gemini left the wharf at five o'clock oa Saturday evening, for the Thames Gold-field, and made the capital run down of six hours. The Gemini conveyed a number of passengers, sod a crushing machine forwarded by Messrs.Vickery and Masefield, but from Eome cause it lias come back by the same vessel. The Gemini left the diggings at two o'clock yesterday, and steamed up against a strong westerly wind in nine hours, bringing fourkea passengers. She arrived in harbour at eleven

o'clock, and will proceed to Biverhead as usual, this morning, at 11 a.m. She reports tho following vessels at Kauoranga: — Midge, s.s, Kangatira, Bessy, Pearl, and another cutter. A small cutter had sunk at her mooring 3 during tho hcavj- westerly gale on I''iidny last.

Tiik Si.vsr —This fine vessel hauled alongside tho wharf vesterJay, and toot up tho berth recently vacated" by tho barque A. H. Badger. Tho Siarn, after discharging her cargo, will commence to load lor England, and is oipeetcd to sail during the month of December. Her accommodation for passengers is superior to most vessels trading to this port, and persons wishing to proccod homo by her would do well to secure their berths at once. Tho Alacrity, Smith, master, arrived from tho Wfide, cn Saturday evening, with settlers* produce and passengers. The s.s. i'aurftuga, Captain Sellars, loft tho wharf early yesterday morning, for Tauranga, with pasfengers and cargo, and is expected to return tomorrow inorning. The cutter Pawn, which arrived from tho Great Barrier yesterday morning, brought up another cargo of copper ore, to be transhipped on board the barque Baliarat this morning. Tho steamers Midge and Gemini convoyed about ono hundred passengers to tho Thames diggings on Saturday evening. The Eagle.—The fine cutter Haglc, Captain Frost, arrived in port on Friday from tho Fiji Islands, with a cargo of cotton, oil, and ivuit. Touring her alisenco she has vi;ited tho islands of Vita Levu, Ovaluu, and Vnu Van. At Ovalau she took in a cargo uf cotton, iind sailed from thence on Tuesday, the 2-lth September. She encountered heavy gales of wind for the first five days, and then light,"winds. Made Cape Brett on Thursday morning last. Seports the brig Reliance having sailed from Ovalau for the K'ew Hebrides group. The Wild "Wave, brig, from Sydney had arrived. The Kate Gbant. —Tho schooner 'Kato Captain Matzeu, had arrived nt liewa river, prior to the sailing of the togle, and was taking in cargo for Auckland. She may be expected to return here daily.
