Sir, —I have the honor to inform you that Beacons are erected to guide vessels over the Hokianga Bar; aud that the following directions will have to be observed in entering:— DIRECTIONS. In conscquencc of the channel over Hokianga Bar, having shifted a little to the Southward, two wooden beacons havo been erected (painted white) in Martin's Bay, which must be kept in a line, bearing N.E by East f East, which will lead over the deepest part of the Bar.
