SALES BY AUCTION.—THIS DAY.
Mk. Alfbed Buckland will sell to-day, at Newmarket, S hand.-fed heifers in calf, 100 half-bred wethers, 70 head of fat cattle, store cows, fat and store pigs. Mn. Samuel Cocubane will (pursuant to instructions from liis Honor the Superintendent), lease for one year, by public auction, the timber wharves in Custom House-street. Each allotment measures 40 feet by 47 feet in depth, and extends to within three feet of the face of the timber wharf, which space is reserved for a footway. The sale will take place at noon. Mk. L. W. "Raton will sell to-day, 6 kauri mast pieces, from 04 to 75 feet long, 16 to 22 square. Messrs. Jones and Co. will sell to-day, at the residence of E. Gr. G-reenwood, D.A.C.Gn., the whole of that gentleman's household furniture and effects, comprising dining and 100 tables, chairs, engravings, couches, bedsteads, glassware, miscelfanies, poultry, &c. Messes. John Bobebton and Co will sell today, ex Bella Mary, 40 cases of apples, comprising codlin, Port Russell, Gloucester pippins, ripstone, Pearmain, Lady of Snow, &c., &c. Me. C. Stichbuby will hold to-day, at his stores, a large sale of galvanized iron guttering, zinc tubes, nails, flooring brads, spades, window glass, tumblers, folding chairs, sashc:;, scrim, Douglas pumps; also, at 11 sharp, 4 tons of picked potatoes. Messrs. Tukbell and Tones will hold to-day, a large trade sale of drapery, hosiery, clothing, &c. '
